Building on its success with the last contest of Elegance of the Villa d'Este, BMW hasrevisited its concept 3.0 CSL tribute to propose this weekend at Pebble Beach asplendid 'R' version with historical colors of BMW Motorsport.
The BMW 3.0 CSL homage concept was already very successful but this newinterpretation 'Racing' at the always spectacular lines, draped in a livery 'Gloss White'decorated with blue and Red strips and chaussée wheels 21 inch golden, offers morethan the original model.
The designers of the Bavarian manufacturer have fitted interior of a RollBar in carbon, bucket seats with six-point harness a security system with built-in fire extinguisher, steering wheel type F1, an indicator charge eBoost or dashboard made of carbon andwood, coated on the entire width of a digital display.
And the best rest may be coming, because to complete this already impressivevehicle, BMW has created a special driver equipment. The helmet at the 'vintage' lookresumed indeed within its visor certain information proposed by the vehicle (speed,gear...), and when the driver has both hands resting on the wheel this combination italso display (by reflection) of information on his forearms.
This BMW 3.0 CSL tribute R concept will be exposed this weekend at Pebble Beach, not far from the Laguna Seca circuit (to 15 miles) where the BMW 3.0 CSL which itinspired, won in 1975 one of its first successes in competition across the Atlantic.
